Christmas in Gloucestershire

December, 2021

We love living and working in Gloucestershire, especially at Christmas, so we asked our teams to share where they loved to visit throughout December and why…

Daylesford Organic, Moreton-in-Marsh GL56 0YG

www.daylesford.com/locations/daylesford-farm/the-farmshop

"I love visiting this prestigious Cotswold Farm Shop.  The food, the drink, the Christmas feeling, the flower shop in particular is amazing as you can select a wreath and it is handmade for you in the shop." Marc Fox

Jolly Nice Farm Shop & Kitchen, Frampton Mansell, Stroud GL6 8HZ

www.jollynicefarmshop.com

"I love visiting the Jolly Nice Farm Shop with the family.  There is a Christmas tree forest, butchers, café and Christmas Yurt with decorations and gifts.  Sometimes they even have visits from reindeer.  It’s so magical and a lovely place to browse and shop for local produce and gifts." Susan Chamberlain

Westonbirt Arboretum, Westonbirt, Tetbury GL8 8QS

"The Westonbirt Arboretum Enchanted Christmas lights is a magical walk through the trees and very Christmassy!" Susan Chamberlain

Gloucester Quays Christmas Market, St Ann Way, Gloucester GL1 5SH

Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucester, GL1 2LX

"I love the Christmas market, just the smell of the mulled wine makes it feel like Christmas.  I also always make time for a visit to the Cathedral to listen to the beautiful choir." Carolyn Jones

Treasure Seekers Gift Shop, 46 Westgate St, Gloucester GL1 2NF

www.kftseekers.org.uk

"Treasure Seekers are a non-profit organisation with a gift shop and café just a little further down the street called The Cavern.  The gift shop sells all sorts of wonderful gifts for Christmas from furniture to jewellery, candles and all sorts of odd bits and bobs, all coming from ethically sourced providers. Some of the proceeds from the purchase of the items by the shop from the suppliers go towards other charitable organisations – for example the jewellery is had made by domestic abuse survivors or trafficked women in China and the organisation helps re-home and retrain them into a new career and path on life." Angel Gale

Cold Pool Lane, Cheltenham

"Visiting Cold Pool Lane in Cheltenham to see all of the beautiful homes lit up is always on our list at Christmas. My children are in their teens, yet they still ask to visit each year." Robert Wade

Perrygrove, Coleford, Gloucestershire GL16 8QB

www.perrygrove.co.uk

"I love visiting Perrygrove with my family at Christmas.  The family run attraction is about 30 minutes from Gloucester in the Forest of Dean.  I personally love the twilight ride as it's even more magical visiting Father Christmas in the dark with all the decorations shining around us." Helena Birt
